About The Role
We have an exciting opportunity, for the right person, to join our team, as an Warehouse Operative. This opportunity is known internally as a Logistics Operative and will see you take responsibility for providing great customer service for our internal and external stakeholders.

You will communicate any issue of stores materials to internal customers as well as undertaking the daily cycle count stock-taking programme.
You have an opportunity to join a customer focused team responsible for the replenishment of materials into our unmanned stores within the Essex and Suffolk area. You will ensure that an excellent standard of housekeeping and safety is maintained whilst carrying out operational duties.
Due to the nature of the Logistics Operative’s role, there is a large proportion of the day to day duties which include manual handling, using mobile plant (e.g. pallet trucks and mobile step ladders) and working in the outside storage area; therefore, the role is physically demanding.
About You

The successful candidate will have experience of working in a warehouse environment and will be capable of working alone as well as part of a team.
In addition you will have proven experience of using a stock management system and be competent in receipting and issuing stock via an electronic stock management inventory system.
We’re also looking for the successful candidate to have proven experience of working with and understanding Health and Safety principles.
This role has also been defined as a safety or security critical role and as a condition of a formal offer of employment you’ll be required to undergo a drug and alcohol test.
Prospective employees and agency workers in defined safety and security critical roles will be required to undertake a drug and alcohol test after the job offer has been made. This will be prior to or within four weeks of their start date.
Prospective employees and agency workers who fail a pre-employment urine drug screen will have their sample analysed by the Company appointed laboratory as a matter of course. Failing a pre-employment drugs or alcohol test may lead to the job offer being revoked
