We are searching for Team Assistants to support the Creative Executives in the UK Scripted Team. Recent launches include Sex Education, The Crown, Top Boy, Fool Me Once and One Day. The is a dynamic and recently expanded team that acts as both commissioners (via independent TV companies) and producers of Scripted Content, from development through to launch, across Series and Film.
The Role
We are looking for people who are quick-thinking, self-motivated, flexible and positive. The role requires someone proactive with a mind towards helping the success of the team and the individuals they support. Please note that this is primarily an administrative role supporting the creative team. There is potential for candidates with an interest in Scripted content to contribute to script-reading and meetings, but this is not a key requirement of the role.
Job Description
Assisting a small team of Creative Executives, including diary management, scheduling external meetings, expenses and coordinating travel.
Tracking development projects, including key submissions and creative updates on projects.
Acting as a liaison between cross-functional departments with Netflix (Business and Legal Affairs, Production, Finance, Marketing, PR) and disseminating up-to-date information
Maintaining key documents that track the Scripted Slate, checking in with the relevant Creative Execs when necessary, flagging action points and assisting with prompts where appropriate.
Helping to plan creative and development meetings. Creating presentations and documents using Google Suite and organising materials for development initiatives – brainstorms, away days, workshops – in order for the team to feel connected and integrated
Keeping on top of current theatre shows, films and upcoming TV series and informing via weekly round-ups
Knowledge and Skill
3+ years of experience as an Administrative Assistant or Executive Assistant, ideally in film and television industries. Knowledge of who the key players are (independent companies, agencies etc) and the nature of production
Excellent administrative and organisational skills
Ability to work unsupervised, exercising initiative and assessing priorities but referring issues upwards where appropriate.
Resilience and stamina to sustain performance when under pressure from tight schedules and conflicting priorities
Team-player who operates in a fast-paced environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Sensitivity, tact, and direction around confidential information
Professionalism in communication with internal and external partners
Proficiency in Google: Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Docs
