Job Description
We are currently seeking a diligent and organized Store/Warehouse Operative to join our client’s family-run business outskirts of Newmarket. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing inventory, receiving, and dispatching goods, and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Fulfil stores orders by established schedules.
- Receive, handle, and label incoming stock items, ensuring proper storage procedures are followed.
- Conduct regular inventory checks to uphold quality standards for auditing purposes.
- Engage in the annual stocktaking process.
- Operate and maintain store vehicles and equipment safely.
- Perform forklift truck duties as required.
- Notify the store supervisor of any issues or potential concerns.
- Assist other departments as required.
- Ensure the store areas are maintained in a clean and tidy condition to ensure a safe and secure working environment.
Requirements
- Precision and meticulous attention to detail
- Effective prioritization skills
- Strong work ethic and commitment
- Comfortable with using computers and systems
- A forklift license or experience operating one is required
- Possession of a valid driver’s license is a must since the client is based outskirts of Newmarket.
