An excellent and rewarding job opportunity has arisen for an experienced and ambitious individual to join our Hemel Hempstead depot as a Storekeeper reporting directly to the Engineering Manager

What does the role involve?

  • To support the Engineering function of a busy bus depot by providing an effective stores department backed up with streamlined administration.
  • Responsibility for daily duties including the effective monitoring of stock usage, reordering and processing deliveries.
  • Ensuring that workshop requirements are met by ensuring back-office systems are compliant with the needs of the garage.
  • Some elements of processing weekly wage payments to Engineering staff by using a modern electronic system may be fundamental to the role where appropriate.

Requirements For The Role

  • Valid Forklift licence is preferred, or a willingness to obtain one if required.
  • Effective written and verbal communications, as well as proficient IT Skills.
  • Influencing skills.
  • Well-developed organisational and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of PCV/HGV industry.
  • Works well as part of a team.
