Job Description

Breedon Surfacing provide a wide range of asphalt surfacing services across the UK, delivering a comprehensive asphalt surfacing solution for the construction and maintenance of public highways; infrastructure; residential and industrial developments and minor works. Our client base ranges from domestic and commercial clients to large contractors, local authorities and government bodies.

The Stores Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe, effective and high-quality delivery of consumables (Fuel/Materials) to ensure the smooth and continued operation of our two surfacing squads who mainly cover the Argyll & Bute and Lower Highland Council region.

You will ideally be based in Fort William or Oban and will operate our new 18T Hook Loader Lorry. Your success in this role will be driven by your ability to work independently and consistently complete tasks on time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Effectively liaise with internal staff to ensure accurate deliveries.
  • Accurate recording, organisation and storage of the goods delivered to site.
  • Ensure all plant and equipment is properly maintained, safe to use and operated in the manner for which it was designed.
  • Ensure compliance with company rules, procedures and safety commitments.
  • Report all accidents, incidents, near miss events, issues and concerns

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • HGV Class C/Class 2 licence
  • Valid Drivers CPC
  • Digital Taco Card
  • ADR and CSCS would be preferred, but not essential as full Construction Industry training will be given to the right candidate.
  • Good communication skills
