Job Description
To join our team you will be:
- Chartered Accountant, Certified Public Accountant or Chartered Management Accountant, or equivalent professional qualification
- Degree qualified in Accounting or Finance
- 5 years of work experience in a similar role, at least 2 years of which must be in the UAE
- Team leading experience and ability to supervise 1-3 accountants mostly doing AR and AP work.
- Knowledge of IFRS, UAE VAT laws, and requirements
- Currently based in UAE
Your responsibilities will include:
- Testing substantively as directed to determine if organizational units are performing their financial and operational control activities cost-effectively, and in accordance with Company and unit business plans and objectives.
- Preparing work papers documenting results of the tests, and with assistance, writing formal audit comments which identify and quantify the impact on business operations.
- Working on special projects, such as creating process documentation, completing risk assessments, etc.
- Assisting with process mapping risks and controls.
- Assisting in performing special projects as requested by management.
- Assisting Internal Audit Manager/Senior in the development of Internal Audit policies, procedures, and methodologies.
- Assisting in running day-to-day operations of the Internal audit department
- Training Audit interns and helping them in performing daily audit tasks.
- Working with the Internal Audit team to develop corrective actions for identified observations and working with stakeholders to implement those actions.
