On behalf of our client, Work Supply is looking for a dedicated Running Current Fitter/Contact Line Fitter who can contribute to ensuring reliable and safe operation of the railway’s contact line system. As a Running Current Fitter/Contact Line Fitter, you will play a key role in maintaining and optimizing our client’s rail infrastructure, which is vital to the country’s transport network.
Your duties:
As a Running Current Fitter/Contact Line Fitter, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving the railway infrastructure. Your primary duties will include:
· Establishment of new facilities in equipotential bonding, return current and catenary systems.
· Reconstruction and modification work in catenary systems.
· Operation and maintenance work in connection with catenary systems.
· Work grounding for various contractors in connection with work near catenary systems.
· Dispensation and temporary protective grounding of plants and machines.
Your qualifications:
We do not expect you to have previous experience as an electrician in the railway industry, but we do expect you to:
· Be trained as a running current fitter/contact line fitter or have other relevant training as a machinist, blacksmith, mechanic, electrician or similar. (Professional certificate is a requirement).
· Has an aptitude for mechanical installations and an inquisitive approach to technical problems.
· Is quality- and responsibility-conscious in the execution of your work, because it is something we value in front of our customer.
· Can work both in a team and independently.
· Is safety aware and committed to following safety procedures.
· Is flexible with working hours, as weekend work may occur. Work mainly takes place at night, but day work may occasionally occur.
· Is flexible with workplace, as posting will occur.
· Have a driver’s license.
