Job Description

We are currently looking for an experienced Refuse Driver to join our client in Monmouthshire.

We are looking for a Refuse Driver with a minimum of 6 months of experience who are looking to develop their professional career within a Local Authority environment.

Main Responsibilities of the Refuse Driver

  • Drive Refuse Collection Vehicles (RCVs) or other vehicles for the collection of recycling and waste in a professional manner

Essential Requirements Of The Refuse Driver

  • A driver assessment will need to be completed and you will have a current HGV licence and a valid in date CPC Card, experience of completing daily log sheets and tachograph/books and be able to operate electronic ICT systems.
  • Act as Team Leader working constructively and effectively as part of the Recycling and Waste collections team. Ensure the crews are undertaking collections in a safe and efficient manner; ensuring that all relevant PPE is worn, that receptacles are placed back as per procedures, any spillages cleaned up, and that all recycling is monitored for contamination and the correct procedures are followed.
