Job Description
We are looking for a road designer for the Traffic Agency in Östersund.
This is a consulting assignment. You will be employed by Centio Consulting Group AB and work as a consultant.
The position is full-time.
The assignment involves close cooperation with the customer, which places great demands on flexibility and cooperation.
The assignment
The Swedish Transport Administration plans to build 6 pedestrian, bicycle and moped roads (GCM roads) in Jämtland with the first construction starting in 2025. All GCM roads are located within an 11 mile radius from Östersund.
Tasks • Design pedestrian and bicycle paths • Produce construction documents and request documents in the form of drawings, descriptions, models, etc. • Establish and incorporate requirements in Technical Description (TB) and Bill of Quantities (MF) as well as coordinate with TB and MF for lighting facilities. Trafikverket’s specialists and project management also participate in this work • Coordinate and coordinate the design work with both Trafikverket’s specialists and framework agreement parties summoned by the Trafikverket to obtain the information needed to create a complete construction document and request documentation.• Coordinate management owners together with Trafikverket. • Participate in project management and project meetings. • Call and lead technical meetings with the Swedish Transport Administration’s specialists. • Construction work environment coordinator for the planning and project work (BAS-P). • Participate in the preparation of calculations and forecasts in consultation with the Swedish Transport Agency’s project management. • If necessary, update construction documents based on changes in the construction phase. • If necessary, manage other existing tasks. Examples of tasks that may occur when necessary are participating in meetings with property owners, establishing work environment plans, control plans, mass handling plans, producing drawing documents for reporting to external parties.
Requirements (NOTE, mandatory)
• At least 10 years of work experience as a designer in road or land. • Projected at least 1 municipal or state pedestrian and cycle path. The planning must have been carried out with an accuracy equivalent to that of a construction document. • Good knowledge of road engineering and superstructure dimensioning acquired through study or experience. • Previous experience with description technology (AMA) in the form of drawing up at least 2 Technical descriptions and Bills of Quantities. • Experience of at least 3 road projects in the construction phase. For example, construction manager/construction site supervisor/project manager/site manager or scheduler. • BAS-P training to be able to function as the client’s construction environment coordinator, BAS-P. If necessary, continuing education must be completed no later than 1 month after signing the contract • Knowledge of different measurement methods, within geodetic measurement technology, for collecting data. • Hold a B driving license
