Job Description

A new joint hospital for Nordmøre and Romsdal is under construction at Hjelset in Molde municipality. In May 2024, the production kitchen moved into the new hospital.

We produce food for patients and canteens. We have a high degree of in-house production and also offer food and drink for meetings and catering for various purposes.

The production method is cook-refrigerate and we will have 1-2-3 as the form of serving at dinners. We will have food hosts in the department kitchen. In addition, we will have production for a large cafe and our own kiosk which the kitchen will operate. 

We need to strengthen our staff and are therefore looking for:

  • Permanent 100% position from 01.09.2024
  • Temporary position 100% position from as soon as possible – 31.08.2025

The permanent position will have a workplace at the new hospital at Hjelset. From the start, the temporary agency will have a workplace at Molde Hospital and gradually at Hjelset.

Diplomas/certificates/certificates must be uploaded as an attachment to the application/CV.

Work tasks

  • Production of hot and cold food, diets
  • Cold kitchen work, baking and decorating cakes
  • Cafe operation and department kitchen
  • Development of new recipes
  • Goods receipt and receipt control
  • The kitchen actively uses its quality system
  • Use of the sections’ data tool

Qualifications

  • Vocational certificate as a chef
  • Applicants with professional certificates as bakers or pastry chefs can also be considered
  • Good knowledge of Norwegian orally and in shifts
  • Must like challenges and be proactive
  • Must work independently and structured
