Applied computer science is a practice-oriented bachelor’s degree program. In this course we guide students towards jobs as AI developer or data engineer. We achieve this with a team of about 65 lecturers across all IT courses and a number of educational support colleagues.
Within our Applied Computer Science course, you are our expert in AI and machine learning. You work closely with your colleagues and organize the lessons, labs, projects and guidance of our students in coordination with them.
In addition to your teaching assignment, you can also be involved in research and social services.
As a Practice Lecturer/Lector AI for business, you carry out educational activities for the following subjects:
– Business intelligence
– Analysis
– Data engineering
– AI for business
– Applied AI project
– Databases
– Sustainable project
– Sustainable IT
and:
– you develop new study material;
– evaluate your students;
– contribute to the quality of the training;
– supervise your bachelor’s theses;
– supervise workplace learning, internships and study projects;
– guide your students in their studies and careers;
– further develop yourself professionally and didactically;
– participate in examination committees;
– provide information activities;
– establish contacts with the professional field;
– carry out projects for external clients;
– you teach in the context of post-university education;
– contribute to internationalization;
– guide your students in their studies and their study path;
– contribute to the quality of the training;
– you contribute to the renewal of the curriculum of the course. – You have a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree, preferably Electronics-ICT or (Applied) Computer Science.
– A certificate of pedagogical competence is not a must, but it is a plus. – You have expertise in AI, machine learning, data engineering and BI.
– You have experience with AI in business issues and functional analyses.
– You are familiar with sustainability themes.
– You are eager to teach your professional knowledge to a diverse student audience.
– You get energy from working with colleagues and external partners.
– You like to share your experience and knowledge and help build an open working environment.
– You show personal leadership, you take responsibility for your work and career and are capable of self-reflection.
– You are aware of recent developments in your field.
– You have relevant experience with regard to the learning content of the educational activities.
– You are curious and willing to constantly learn more about your professional knowledge and didactic and digital skills.
– You can work in Office 365, with online communication tools and in a digital learning platform.
– You can substantiate your position in writing and enjoy speaking to a large audience.
– You are willing to teach both on campus and online.
– You preferably have 3 years of experience in (higher) education and/or in the professional field.
– You are willing to work in day and evening education.
