Job Description

3.0. JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

3.1. Education:

4.1.1. Essential:

4.1.1.1. Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce majoring in Accounting and a Certified Public Accountant or Chartered Account.

4.1.1.2. Master’s degree in a related specialty is an added advantage.

4.2. Experience: 7 years minimum experience (5 years as Accountant plus 2 years in managerial) or its equivalent position from a reputable hospital or healthcare organization

4.3. Knowledge/Skills:

4.3.1. Language: Excellent command of written and spoken English and Arabic. Ability to read and interpret documents such as government rules and directives related to hospital administration, clear in giving instructions and interpreting procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the SGH organization.

4.3.2. Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as salary increments or decreases (in the event of demotion), commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume for determining office set-up. Ability to apply concepts of mathematics in dealing with hospital transactions.

4.3.3. Computer Skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other useful software

4.3.4. Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished orally or in writing, and analyze diagrams or schedule forms.

4.4. Equipment Operated: Computer and other computing machines

4.5. Licensure: Certified Public Accountant

4.6. Languages: Proficiency both in English and Arabic is preferred.

4.7. Personal Requirement: Possess integrity, initiative, and evidence of good health and grooming, good moral character and right conduct, strong and pleasing personality.

4.8. Job Requirement: Participates actively in organization-wide activities without hesitance or personal reservation. Can adapt to unusual job-related circumstances. Works effectively under stressful conditions. Willing to work extended hours to attend to emergency cases. Willing to relocate to other SG Hospitals in order to fill in the gap, if needed.

4.9. Travel: Willing and fit to travel for business purposes such as: going to other SG Hospital to introduce a new system, training abroad
