Job Description

Now we are looking for you who can think of contributing to vocational school students getting the necessary vocationally relevant basic knowledge in management, marketing, finance, innovation and entrepreneurship. Everything the students learn at THYF must be relevant for practical work, and many of our students go into operational management positions after completing their studies. We now have use for the aforementioned expertise for several of our study programmes. This is a temporary position in a 90% position where it may be relevant to teach at several of the study locations in Trøndelag in the same semester, but there will be a semester schedule that shows when work will be done at the various locations. In the first instance, the study centers in Trondheim and Orkanger (Løkken until the middle of the semester) are most relevant. You can choose which of our study centers you want as your base. With us, you can work from home as long as it fits in with learning and development work as well as other work in the college. If you would prefer to work in a smaller number of positions, that can be arranged because this position can be combined with other positions in THYF.

Work assignments

  • Prepare, plan and carry out vocationally relevant teaching in line with the study plans
  • Guide the students between lectures and in connection with larger project work/practice as well as evaluate the work they do
  • Contribute to updating existing studies and developing new ones
  • Maintain/establish good relationships with relevant working life
  • Share experiences and do development work together with colleagues
  • Keep yourself professionally up-to-date in order to solve the tasks assigned to the position

Qualifications

Education

  • Competence in management, finance, marketing, innovation and entrepreneurship at minimum bachelor’s level. Long and broad work experience using such skills can compensate for sufficient formal education.
  • Pedagogical education is an advantage, but not a requirement since this is a temporary position.

Work experience

You must have extensive experience in management, financial work and marketing work. We prefer that you also have your own experience from innovation and entrepreneurship, but it is not a requirement. 

Other qualifications

  • Good in Norwegian orally and in writing
  • Generally good ICT skills
  • Knowledge of laws, regulations and norms relevant to one/several industries
