Position Overview
As a Cashier at IIQAF, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our store and providing excellent service to our customers. You will be responsible for processing sales transactions, handling cash, and providing assistance to customers as needed. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and a passion for providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers with a friendly and professional attitude
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently
- Accept payments and provide change to customers using the store’s Point of Sale (POS) system
- Bag customer purchases and assist with carrying items as needed
- Answer customer inquiries and provide information about products and services
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
- Handle customer complaints and ensure a resolution is reached in a timely manner
- Keep track of inventory levels and report any shortages or discrepancies to the appropriate manager
- Upsell and promote additional products and services to customers
- Follow all company policies and procedures regarding cash handling and customer service
- Collaborate with the rest of the retail team to achieve store goals and objectives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in a retail or customer service role is preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of basic math and ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
- Proficient in using POS systems or willing to learn
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds
