Job Description

What will you be doing

  • Working within CSM’s existing central gaming/esports team to help drive our rapid growth
  • Collaborating to build out CSM’s gaming / esports offering, primarily with CSM’s global clients
  • Seek to unlock new gaming briefs from the client’s brands and support on other perspective clients
  • Demonstrating the ability to manage responses to clients’ speculative / actual gaming & esports briefs, that include both strategic as well as creative / ideation elements
  • Work collaboratively with CSM’s esports/gaming leads, as an advisor to the business’ client account leads, who require gaming & esports expertise
  • Use experience and expertise to help to grow our team and proactively educate the wider business on our esports and gaming offering
  • Manage client relationships, including agenda setting, meeting notes and post-call actions
  • Develop an excellent understanding of client strategy and brand objectives, market and key competitor threats
  • Form trusted relationships with stakeholders at key partners / rights holders and be seen as the client lead
  • Assess clients briefs to unlock maximum commercial opportunities / fees for CSM
  • Assess rights holder proposals, lead partnership negotiations on behalf of CSM clients with a gaming focus
  • Oversight and management of partnership strategy & campaigns, delivering clear results against overall brand strategy
  • Assist with KPI setting and campaign evaluation with client team, rights holders and CSM team
  • Regular forward planning to anticipate client challenges / issues and put in place proactive solutions
  • Be a brand advocate for clients, with a proactive approach to new opportunities for them
  • Be seen as a key figure in the team, as an expert within the esports & gaming space
  • Build strong relationships with CSM colleagues, predominantly in the UK, US and also support other regional teams
  • Align and seek support from Creative, Content and S&C teams in response to client briefs
  • Draw upon senior experience from across CSM where relevant, to optimise quality of work provided on the account

The skills and experience you will need

  • Min. of 5 years working on gaming & esports partnership projects – either for an agency, global brand and/or rightsholder
  • Excellent client management skills – ability to manage clients and gain trust and respect of all stakeholders
  • Leadership capability – being able to lead a team, client or projects
  • Demonstrably grown business / revenue for a single client or portfolio of clients
  • Demonstrably enhanced client relationships, nurturing & growing commercial relationships
  • Excellent presentation skills (both composing and delivery) internally and to clients
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written – and attention to detail
  • Creative thinker
  • Deep knowledge of, and passion for gaming / esports
  • Brave: Ambition to create award winning brand campaigns that drive measurable growth for our clients & confidence working with senior clients & stakeholders
  • Curious: Actively seek innovative ways to engage audiences through passion partnerships on behalf of brand
  • Collaborative: Ability to work with other agencies, internal CSM teams and functional teams on a daily basis
  • Open: Feel comfortable openly challenging client & stakeholders plans, initiatives or ideas where applicable to gain the best result
